McKenzie routs Elkton in Class 1A tourney opener

The top-ranked McKenzie girls beat Elkton 69-38 in the opening game of the Class 1A state basketball tournament this afternoon at Baker High School.

McKenzie advances to a Friday semifinal at 1:30 p.m. against the winner of this afternoon's match up between Pine-Eagle and Condon/Wheeler.

Elkton will play the loser of that game in a consolation semifinal Thursday at 9 a.m.
