Mohawk girls stun Adrian

Unranked Mohawk broke a 36-36 tie with 4:13 left in the game Wednesday and went on to upset fourth-ranked Adrian 44-38 in the quarterfinals of the Class 1A state girls basketball tournament at Baker High School.

Clancee Lance hit a three-point basket with 3:43 left in the game to give Mohawk the lead for good.

Emily Gonzalez led Mohawk with 24 points and seven rebounds.

Ranea Orosco lef Adrian with 11 points.

Mohawk now plays Imbler in the semifinals Friday. Adrian meets Country Christian in consolation action this morning.
