McCauley back for second stint

She coached the Baker varsity from 1995 through 2001, during which her teams won one GOL championship

A familiar face welcomed the Baker volleyball players to fall practices last week.

Michele McCauley returns for her second stint as the Baker coach. McCauley coached the Bulldogs from 1995 through 2001, winning the Greater Oregon League title in 1998, and placing seventh at the Class 3A state tournament in 2001.

New coach, with familiar face, will guide Bulldog runners

Tish Bloomer, a former BHS track star, replaces longtime coach Suzy Cole

For the first time in almost a dozen years the Baker cross country teams will take the course without Suzy Cole at the helm.

Cole stepped down after last season to coach the Bulldogs’ junior varsity volleyball squad. In her place will be Tish (Henes) Bloomer.
