Baker tennis teams fall at Ontario

Ontario defeated Baker’s boys and girls tennis teams under cold, windy conditions Tuesday at Ontario. Ontario won the boys match 3-2, and the girls 4-1.

Baker softball splits

Baker’s offense awakened for one game Tuesday, then fell back into a sound slumber.

The Bulldogs banged out 10 hits in a 10-0 win, then managed just four in a 5-2 loss while splitting a non-league softball doubleheader against Grant Union at John Day.

Baker made the best of a long day Tuesday, defeating Grant Union 11-4 in a non-league baseball game at John Day.


Baker softball struggles at Boise tourney

Baker’s softball bats continue to need thawing. The Bulldogs offensive attack remained quiet Friday and Saturday at the annual ISG tournament in Boise.

Baker lost four games at the tournament — 4-3 to Capital of Boise, 7-5 by international tie-breaker to Vallivue, 7-4 to Rocky Mountain and 3-0 to Mountain Home.


Bulldogs pummel Weiser

Baker continued to flex its offensive muscles Thursday, hammering out 38 hits in a 17-5, 31-2 non-league baseball sweep of Weiser, Idaho.

Baker hammers Scappoose

Baker’s offense continued to get better Monday when the Bulldogs banged out a dozen hits in a 12-2 six-inning baseball romp past Scappoose at the Baker Sports Complex.

Baker baseball splits with North Marion

Nineteen runs.

Five home runs.

Nineteen hits, nine for extra bases.

A doubleheader sweep. Right? Not quite.


Baker softball girls split two games

Baker’s softball bats haven’t warmed up yet. But, despite the chilly aluminum the Bulldogs managed to split a pair of non-league games with Fruitland and Weiser, Idaho last week.
