Panthers, Rangers win consolation games

Prairie City and Dufur will meet Saturday morning in the fourth-place game at the Class 1A state girls basketball tournament at Baker High School.

Prairie City qualified by edging Country Christian 47-46 in overtime Thursday in the consolation semifinals.

Dufur advanced by defeating Crane 47-35 Thursday in the consolation semifinals

Prairie City (18-8) outscored Country Chrisian (20-9) 6-5 in the extra period to pull out its win.

Amy Black led Prairie City with 23 points and 14 rebounds. Kailey Kell added 12 points.

Mariah Stueland led Country Christian with 10 rebounds.

PRAIRIE CITY (47)

   Woodbury 1 0-0 2, Packard 1 0-2 2, Stewart 1 3-10 5, Black 5 11-15 23, Kell 6 0-3 12, Zweygardt 1 0-2 2, McCarthy, Evans 0 1-2 1, Ennis, Cobb. Totals 15 15-34 47.

Morgan Corrigan led Crane with 10.
