Powder Valley boys seventh

LA GRANDE  — Powder Valley placed seventh at the La Grande Optimist Holiday Classic boys basketball tournament Dec. 21-23 at La Grande High School.

The Badgers defeated Joseph 42-38 to place seventh.

Peter Colton led Powder Valley with 17 points.

Powder Valley opened the tournament with a 62-45 loss to Echo. Noe Benites led the Badgers with 15 points.

Powder Valley then lost 89-69 to Pilot Rock. Colton led the Badgers with 30 points. Shae Wentd added 13 points, and Tyler Robinson 10.
