Powder Valley remains undefeated atop the Old Oregon League boys b


Powder Valley remains undefeated atop the Old Oregon League boys basketball standings after sweeping Imbler and Joseph last weekend.

Friday, the Badgers topped Imbler 70-56 at Imbler. Saturday, Powder easily handled Joseph 74-29 at North Powder.


Balance leads win at Imbler

Four Powder Valley players scored in double figures in the win at Imbler.

Peter Colton led the way with 15 points. Trenton Dixon added 14, Levi Allen 13 and Bryson Kandle 10.

“Peter Colton played a heck of a game,” said Powder coach Kyle Dixon. “Everybody got into the game.”

Fast start with Joseph

Powder Valley jumped out to a 24-2 lead after one period against Joseph and never looked back.

“Our defense came out and played really good right from the start,” Dixon said.

Trenton Dixon led Powder with 25 points. Brenton Reed added 13.

Powder Valley (4-0 in league play) hosts second-ranked Wallowa Saturday in a battle of undefeated OOL boys teams.
