Powder track eighth at Nyssa

NYSSA — Powder Valley opened its track and field season Friday by placing eighth in both the boys and girls halves of the Don Walker Invitational at Nyssa.

The top Powder girls placers were Ali Abrego second in the high jump, and Kate Jones second in the 100 hurdles.

Jones also finished third in the 300 hurdles, and freshman Amy Eubanks third in the 100 hurdles.

Trenton Dixon was the top Powder boys placer, taking second in the high jump. Levi Allen was fifth in that event.
