Ten from softball roster earn all-league honors

Baker placed 10 players on the Greater Oregon League girls softball all-league team following a vote of league coaches last week.

Selected to the first team were infielders Beth Hull and Nicole Landstrom, and center fielder Jamey Parks. It was Parks third straight first-team selection, and the second straight for Hull and Landstrom.

Named to the second team were pitcher Megan Curtis, and Ashley Rino as an infielder and utility player.

Receiving honorable mention were pitcher Lacey Barker, outfielders Chase Shira and Katie Kuchenbecker, catcher Ashley Craig, and infielder Savannah Newman.

Hull led the Bulldogs in batting average (.506), home runs (4), RBIs (23) and hits (40).

Landstrom led Baker in runs scored with 26, and tied Hull for the team lead in hits with 40. Landstrom was second in average (.455), home runs (1) and RBIs (21).

Parks ranked in the top five in almost every Baker offensive category.

Landstrom and Hull were selected to play in the senior all-star series June 9-10. Parks was picked as an alternate.
