WRESTLING: Pine-Eagle ninth at Nyssa

NYSSA — Jake Kennedy won his weight division at the Calhoun Classic for the second straight year to help lead Pine-Eagle to a ninth-place finish in the team standings.

Kennedy won three straight matches, including a pin of Emmett's Joe Johnson in the title match, to claim top honors at 140 pounds.

Brady Lindsay placed second at 152 pounds, winning three of four matches. Brad Lindsay placed fifth at 152, finishing 3-2.

Hills had placed first at 171 last week at Enterprise. Kennedy and Brady Lindsay each placed second in the division at Enterprise.

Pine-Eagle travels to a tournament at Caldwell, Idaho, Friday and Saturday.
