West wins Shrine game 20-6

The West converted three second-half interceptions into touchdowns to rally for a 20-6 victory at the 59th annual East-West Shrine all-star football game at Bulldog Memorial Stadium.

Trailing 6-0 at halftime the West's Bryan Sabien intercepted the East's Jesse Brown and returned the ball to the East 4. One play later Brycen Stutzman scored off left tackle for a 7-6 West lead.

Then, after exchanging punts, the West's Kenna Cumberland intercepted a Roger Hults pass and returned it 14 yards for a touchdown and a 13-6 West lead.

 Then, in the fourth quarter, Jordan Reeher intercepted a Brown pass and returned the ball to the East 42. Three plays later Brock Ingram conncted with Brent Whipple on a lob pass over the middle for a 35-yard TD.

It was the West's second straight win. The East still leads the overall series 29-27-3.
