Oregon Trail Electric Cooperative members elected Charlene Chase of Baker City to replace Peggi Timm on OTEC's board of directors.

Election results were announced Saturday during OTEC's annual meeting, which took place at the Blue Mountain Conference Center in La Grande.

In addition, the first Peggi Timm Leadership and Community Service award was presented to Dottie Miles of North Powder.

Timm, one of OTEC's founders, retired recently due to health reasons.

Miles chose the Baker County Community College Foundation as the charity to receive the $25,000 gift.

She was honored for her leadership in Rotary, the Baker Cattlewomen's Association, a variety of education organizations and her leadership running the Haines Post Office.
