By Jayson Jacoby / The Baker City Herald

The westbound lanes of Interstate 84 were closed for a few hours along an eight-mile section near Huntington Wednesday evening after a range fire burned near the freeway.

The freeway was open this morning.

The westbound lanes had been closed between exits 345 and 353.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

Crews from several agencies, including the BLM and the Forest Service, doused the blaze.
