Baker's 13-15-year-old Babe Ruth all-star baseball team finished second at the District 3 tournament last weekend in Baker City and qualified for the state tournament, which starts Wednesday in Ontario.
Baker finished the four-day tournament with four wins and two losses.
Both losses, including a 13-3 defeat in Sunday's championship game, came at the hands of the Snake River Valley Nationals.

After opening the tournament Thursday with a 9-8 loss to Wallowa, Baker rebounded to rout to the SRV Americans 13-1, also on Thursday.
Anthony Shankle pitched a complete game.

Baker scored five runs in the first inning. Mike Reidy drove in two of those runs, and Will Barr and Ty Everson each had RBI singles. Everson drove in two runs with a triple in the second inning.
In Baker's four-run fourth inning, Dustin Hull, Coleman Lay and Mike Reidy each hit RBI singles.
On Friday Baker lost 11-3 to the SRV Nationals. Hull, Reidy and Nick Cripe each had RBIs.
Baker began advancing through the bracket on Saturday by beating Harney-Grant 16-7. Justin Durflinger was the winning pitcher.
Hull had the hot bat, going 4-for-4 with four RBIs.

In a semifinal on Sunday, Baker scored five runs in the top of the seventh to get past the SRV Americans, 13-11.
Cripe drove in four runs, two on a double in the first inning, and two more on a fifth-inning home run.
Shankle was the winning pitcher.
In the championship game later Sunday, Baker fell behind 6-0 after the first inning.
Barr hit a two-run double in the third to cut the lead to 6-2, but SRV closed out the game by 10-run rule by scoring six more runs in the bottom of the sixth.
Sam Averett had Baker's other RBI in the championship game, on a double in the fourth inning.
