Two undefeated Greater Oregon League seasons. Two GOL boys basketball titles.

That's what Baker can boast after steamrolling Mac-Hi 89-45 Friday in the GOL regular-season finale for both teams.

"Two straight 9-0 GOL seasons," said Baker coach Joel Richardson.

"That was one of our goals, to go undefeated in the GOL."

Baker (9-0 in the GOL, 14-8 overall) had little problem with Mac-Hi (0-9, 0-21) Friday. Six Bulldogs scored in the opening quarter as Baker rolled to a 28-9 lead.

Jordan Curtis led the way with nine points on three three-point baskets. Dane Bachman came off the bench to add seven points in the quarter.

Colten Richards and Braden Phillips each chipped in four points.

"We came out and set the tone for the game in the first quarter," Richardson said.

"Jordy and Dane had nice games. I told Dane before the game he probably was going to get some extended looks. I thought he really responded well."

Richards added seven points and Dillon Blankenship five as the Bulldogs outscored Mac-Hi 23-5 in the second quarter to take a 51-14 halftime lead.

A dozen Bulldogs played in the game, and all 12 scored.

"It was a good chance to get everybody on the floor for some solid minutes," Richardson said.

"I thought our guys did a great job of finishing off the GOL season strong."

Baker shot 34-of-63 from the field, including a season-high 9-of-16 from three-point range.

The Bulldogs outrebounded Mac-Hi 44-27, and had nine steals.

Curtis and Bachman each finished with 17 points. Curtis added seven rebounds.

Phillips added 15 points and 12 rebounds, including 10 on the offensive boards.

Richards chipped in 11 points. Blankenship had seven points and seven assists.

"I thought Dillon did a great job of finding his teammates early for some easy baskets," Richardson said.

Baker now will host a Class 4A state playin game Feb. 25 against an opponent yet to be determined.
