firstname.lastname@example.org Baker's Jesse Burk pulled out a three-set victory after playing for almost two hours Saturday to help the Bulldogs edge Weiser 3-2 in a nonleague tennis match at the Ash Grove Complex.
Burk defeated his opponent 7-5, 6-7 (5-7), 6-2 in the final match of the day.
"Jesse played well as he did Friday at Vale," said Baker coach George Keister.
Burk was the only Baker singles player to win against the Wolverines.
Baker's other wins came in doubles.
Jordan Curtis and Lukas Huggins lost just two games in winning the No. 1 doubles.
Brandon Zunino and Nathan Eiselein also won in straight sets at No. 2.
Neither team had that many girls players available. They ended up playing a pair of doubles matches.
Devon Galiszewski and Jessica McKim won the No. 1 doubles for the Bulldogs.
Baker travels to Parma Friday, then hosts La Grande and Crook County Saturday.
