Bulldogs bury Weiser

Four Baker pitchers combined to throw a 0ne-hit shutout against Weiser Saturday.

Meanwhile, Baker (3-1) hammered 11 hits on the way to a 19-0 win in the nonleague baseball game at Weiser.

Starter Mason Cline pitched the first two innings, allowing the only Weiser hit and striking out one, to gain the win.

Caleb Custer threw two innings, striking out five Wolverines.

Dillon Blankenship struck out the side in one inning of relief.

Chace Dixon struck out one in an inning of relief.

"All of our pitchers threw well," said Baker coach Dan Blankenship.

"They all had great command of their pitches."

Kody Younger led Baker's offense with a grand slam home run.

Custer added three hits and three RBIs, and Dan Stinson a double and two RBIs.

"Kody's grand slam was a highlight," Blankenship said. "Really, everybody had a highlight today.

"The kids just keep getting better."

Already leading 9-0, Baker closed the game out in the sixth inning by scoring 10 runs.

The Bulldogs travel to Pendleton for a single game this afternoon.
