Baker tuned up for today's Greater Oregon League baseball doubleheader against Ontario by dismantling Burns 16-2 in a nonleague game at Burns Wednesday.

A trio of Baker players finished with three RBIs each while improving Baker's season record to 4-2. Kody Younger, Mason Cline and Micah Mespelt each drove in three runs.

Younger had a two-run double, and Mespelt a two-run single in a 5-run Baker first inning against the Hilanders.

Keaton Bachman added an RBI single.

Baker increased its lead to 8-0 in the third. Younger plated one run with a fielder's choice, Bachman a second with a sacrifice fly, and Dan Stinson a third with a single.

The Bulldogs then exploded for eight runs in the fourth inning.

The big blow was a three-run home run by Cline. Darren Dolby added a two-run single, Mespelt an RBI single, Caleb Custer an RBI single, and Stinson a run-scoring fielder's choice.

Chace Dixon threw the first four innings for the win. Dixon allowed four hits. Dillon Blankenship pitched the fifth inning, allowing one hit.

Baker hosts Ontario in a GOL twinbill this afternoon beginning at 3 p.m. at the Baker Sports Complex.
