VALE - Vale easily handled Baker 25-10, 25-9, 25-14 in a nonleague volleyball match Thursday at Vale.
"We were inconsistent," said Baker coach Michele McCauley.
"We made hard thing s look easy, and easy things look hard.
"We just have to keep taking things one game at a time."
Michelle Freese led Baker with four kills. Michelle Lehman added three kills, Summer Phillips two kills and Kate Averett two kills.
Madi Elms was 6-for-6 serving. Makenna Bachman was 22-of-24 setting, and Dani McCauley 23-of-24 setting.
Vale won the JV match 25-16, 25-15.
Olivia Hanson was 9-for-9 serving for Baker. Kourtney Lehman was 6-for-9 hitting with two kills. Kylie Severson was 5-for-6 hitting.
Baker lost the frosh/soph match 16-25, 25-22, 15-8.
Jordan Rudolph was 13-for-14 hitting with five kills, Amrie Christensen 12-of-13 serving, and Cecylee Bruce 10-for-10 serving.
Baker's varsity is idle this weekend.
The JV and frosh/soph teams compete at a tournament at Payette Saturday.
