Baker managed to win only twice during the Greater Oregon League girls basketball season.

But, those two wins both came against Mac-Hi, good enough to take third place in the league standings.

And, with third place also comes a first-round home GOL playoff game Tuesday against the Pioneers.

Friday, the Bulldogs rode the double-digit scoring of Michelle Freese and Brie Sand to a 44-27 win over Mac-Hi at Milton-Freewater.

Both Freese and Sand scored four points in the first quarter as the Bulldogs forged a 12-6 lead.

Sand added six points in the second period as the Bulldogs increased their lead to 25-13 at halftime.

Freese then added six points, all from the free throw line, in the final quarter.

Freese also had seven rebounds, and Sand three assists.

Summer Phillips chipped in nine rebounds and three blocked shots.

Whitney Lemmon had eight points off the bench.
