Crosshill Christian boys win

Crosshill Christian shot 50 percent from three-range in the first half Thursday on the way to dominating Jordan Valley 64-47 in a Class 1A state boys basketball quarterfinal game at Baker High School.

The Eagles were 9-of-18 from beyond the arc in the first half as they built a 47-27 halftime lead.

David Brockman led the way with 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 5-of-7 from three-point range.

Brockman didn't score in the second half, and Crosshill Christian was just 1-of-6 from long range after halftime.

But, Jordan Valley couldn't take advantage, managing to get no closer than 13 points.

Matthew Bille added 18 points and five assists for Crosshill Christian. Dalton Cubitt added 15 rebounds.

Wyatt Troutman led Jordan Valley with 18 points and a dozen rebounds. Lee Stanford added 15 points and 14 boards.

Crosshill Christian plays top-ranked Horizon Christian in the semifinals today at 3:15 p.m.

Jordan Valley played Imbler in the consolation semifinals this morning.
