BAKER SOFTBALL: Emmett stops Bulldogs

Emmett took advantage of a half-dozen Baker errors Saturday to defeat the Bulldogs 6-2 in a nonleague softball game at Emmett.

Leading 1-0 in the fourth inning, Emmett scored five times to put the game away.

Baker scored twice in the top of the fifth inning on a sacrifice fly by Sally Mary Blair and a double by Kayla Davis.

Baker (2-6) managed just three hits against the Huskies.

Morgan Plumbtree was the losing pitcher.

Baker opens Greater Oregon League play this afternoon with a doubleheader at Ontario.
