BAKER TENNIS: Fruitland sweeps Baker

Baker dropped a nonleague tennis match to a strong Fruitland team Friday at the Ash Grove Complex.

Both the Baker boys and girls lost 4-2.

Fruitland has lost just one match this season, to Parma, the day before playing Baker. Baker lost to Parma earlier in the season as well.

In Friday boys play, Lukas Huggins and Jesse Burk teamed to win in doubles in three sets.

Mathew Barnes and Ian Rasmussen also won in doubles play, also in three sets.

In girls play, Megan Burk won in singles in straight sets.

Tori Gentili and Alex Wachtel won in two sets in doubles.
