The snow began covering the road past the Dutch Flat Trailhead. By the time I got to , I was pinching myself.

Dick and Siobhan Knowles had a singletrack of set around Anthony Lake and through the campground. The latter will be a new addition to the Ski Anthony Lakes nordic trails this winter, adding about 8/10 of a mile of trail — and providing great views of Gunsight as you climb up from the road and into the campground.

There were better than a half dozen Nordic skiers circling the lake Sunday morning. I chatted with them about conditions and next weekend's Snow or No Snow Party at Ski Anthony Lakes.
