ENGAGEMENT: Henshaw-Bentley

Nike Henshaw and Jason Bentley are engaged to be married Sept. 8, 2007, at Portland.

A traditional Christian ceremony, performed by the groom's father, Rev. Dennis Bentley, is planned at the Old Laurelhurst Church in Portland.

Roscoe Cook, the groom's best friend and cousin of the bride, will be the best man.

Leslie Mitts, childhoood friend of the bride, will attend as maid of honor.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Calvin Henshaw and Chris Henshaw-White of Baker City.

She is a 2003 graduate of Baker High School. She is currently pursuing a bachelor's of arts in communications at Portland State University. She is an assistant database administrator for PSU Foundation.

Bentley is the son of Dennis and Jennifer Bentley of San Diego, Calif. He is a 1997 graduate of Serrano High School in Phelan, Calif.

He studied communications at Point Loma Nazarene University, in San Diego, Calif. He is a claims administrator for Louisiana Pacific and serves as an afterschool program assistant for Metropolitan Family Services.

The couple will reside in Portland.
