A great deed by BHS volleyball

To the editor:

I would like to share with the people of Baker City a wonderful surprise that occurred this week. When I entered the food bank at St. Francis de Sales, there on the counter were 13 brown paper bags of groceries filled to the brim. St. Francis or any organization that normally does such good deeds had not solicited any such drive.

Upon investigation, I discovered that Michele McCauley, volleyball coach, and the volleyball team from Baker High School decided to do the deed, and what a good deed it was. Wow! So let's hear it for the volleyball team — 13 cheers and 13 thank you's.
