COVE vs. BUTTE FALLS: Leopards stay alive

Cove staved off elimination from the OSAA-U.S. Bank Class 1A state girls basketball tournament Thursday by coming from behind to stop Butte Falls.

The Leopards trailed 25-20 at halftime, but outscored Butte Falls 15-2 in the third quarter to win the consolation semifinal game 52-45 at Baker High School.

Cove advances to the consolation finale Saturday at 9 a.m. Butte Falls was eliminated from the tournament with the loss.

Kelsey Robinson and Lisa Scheele each scored 10 points to lead Cove.
