Baker High School’s volleyball team dropped a three-game match to Burns Tuesday.

The scores were 13-25, 23-25, 15-25.

“We had a rough match tonight,” said Baker coach Marcy Hayes. “We were outplayed tonight. Burns is a tough team and you have to be playing your best volleyball to beat them. We were not always playing our best volleyball.”

Hayes said the Bulldogs had “too many unforced errors, and Burns took advantage of all of them.”

She credited her team with “being scrappy at times” and vowed that “we will work hard the rest of the week in practice” to prepare for a tournament in Walla Walla, Wash.

In Tuesday’s match, Tara Talbott was 13-for-16 hitting with 5 kills and 12 digs. Andrea Wilson was a perfect 13-for-13 serving including an ace. Savannah Daly was 27-for-29 setting with 6 assists. She also managed a perfect night serving, 8-for-8.
