Myron Sherburn
Myron J. Sherburn, 74, of Baker City, died Dec. 29, 2011, in Baker City.
Memorial services for Myron will be Jan. 10 at 1 p.m. at the New Beginning Fellowship, Pentecostal Church of God, 1820 Estes St. in Baker City. Pastor Bruce Smith will officiate. Military rites will be accorded by the Oregon Army National Guard Honor Guard. Myron Joseph Sherburn was born on Nov. 28, 1937, at Pilot Rock. He was in the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War. He loved the service people and prayed for them daily.
Myron loved hunting and fishing and was very much a lover of mining. He loved driving a truck, but had to stop driving due to an eye injury. After a couple of years off, he got a job at Step Forward, which he really enjoyed during the time he worked there. Myron loved to cook and always fed whoever came over — he didn’t want anyone to leave hungry.
Myron was preceded in death by his mother, father, and a brother.
He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Brenda Sherburn of Baker City; his son, Mark Conrath and his wife, Jodi, son, Michael Conrath, daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Mike Babneau, all of Elk River, Minn.; sister and brother-in-law, Flossie and R.G. Watkins of Heppner; sister, Velmetta Wilsey of Wenatchee, Wash.; brother, Gary Hemenway of Walla Walla, Wash.;  four stepchildren, Bryan and Robin Coller of Wenatchee, JoAnna Coller of Pendleton, Jason Coller of Baker City, and Jamie and Sarah Coller of Pendleton; 20 grandchildren; and many friends and family.
