Elkton boys fourth

Elkton jumped out to an 11-0 lead in the first five minutes of the game and never looked back Saturday to defeat Imbler 55-44 in the fourth-place game at the Class 1A state boys basketball tournament at Baker High School.

Tyler Trout hit a pair of three-point baskets, and Brandon Bowen one. Colton Maxwell added a two-point basket as the Elks took command early in the first quarter.

Elkton led 19-8 after one period and 28-18 at halftime.

Noah Miller led Elkton with 13 points. Bowen added 12.

Garrett Bigej topped Imbler with 12 points. Andrew Fullerton added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
