HERMISTON — Baker battled back from deficits three times Tuesday to beat Class 5A Hermiston 10-7 in a nonleague baseball battle of the Bulldogs.

Baker took the lead for good with five runs in the top of the sixth inning.

Colten Richards did most of the damage with a three-run triple.

Richards later scored on a passed ball.

“It was a good nonleague game, a seesaw game all the way,” Baker Coach Dan Blankenship said. “It’s always good to go on the road and get a win, especially against a good team.”

Baker fell behind 3-0 after the first inning.

The Bulldogs responded by scoring three runs in the top of the second to tie the score.

Mason Cline had an RBI single in the inning.

After Hermiston scored a single run to take a 4-3 lead after two innings, Baker scored twice in the top of the third to go ahead 5-4.

Tyler Talbot drove in both runs with a double.

Baker, 4-5 overall and 0-2 in the Greater Oregon League, returns to conference play Friday with a doubleheader at Mac-Hi.
