Baker split an abbreviated high school tennis match at La Grande Saturday.

Baker won the boys match 2-1 but lost the girls match 3-1.

The match turned into a brief contest due to missing players on both teams. La Grande fielded just two boys and Baker just three girls due to other school commitments and illness.

In the boys match, Brandon Zunino won the No. 2 singles in two sets, although he needed a tie-breaker to win the second set.

Jordan Curtis and Lukas Huggins swept the doubles match.

Emily Miller won the No. 1 girls singles match in a pro set for Baker’s only girls win.

Baker hosts Pendleton in a nonleague match this afternoon at 3:30 at the Ash Grove Complex.

The Bulldogs then host Ontario Friday at the Complex.
