Braden Phillips and Dane Bachman each hit a three-point basket, and Mason Cline, Trent Taylor and Dillon Blankenship each added two-pointers. Baker led 20-7 after one period. The Bulldogs then built their largest lead of the first half, 31-12, midway through the second quarter. That’s when Vale made its final run at a comeback. Behind three three-pointers from Logan Skerjanec, the Vikings ran off 10 unanswered points to pull within 31-22 with 2:08 left in the half. Baker then rebounded to lead 33-22 at halftime. Baker then outscored the Vikings 46-26 in the second half. Phillips led four Bulldogs in double figures with 19 points. Blankenship added 17, Bachman 13, and Cline 11. Baker won the rebounding battle 37-26. Blankenship had nine boards and Phillips seven. Blankenship added four assists and Ben Baxter three. Baker shot 54 percent from the field (28-of-53). Baker closes out its home season Friday when they host La Grande in a Greater Oregon League contest.
