Imbler left no doubt as to who would be playing Powder Valley in Saturday’s championship game at the District 7-1A boys basketball tournament.

The Panthers stormed to a 30-6 lead after one quarter and never looked back, stopping Pine-Eagle 70-27 in Friday’s semifinals at Baker High School.

Imbler’s Kyle Johnson went 7-of-7 from the field in the game. He finished with a team-high 14 points and had five rebounds and three assists.

Already leading 30-6, the Panthers then held Pine-Eagle to a single free throw in the second quarter to build a 43-7 halftime lead.
