William Ted Orr, 85, of Haines died Sept. 27, 2017, at his home.
Viewing will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral, First and Church streets. There will be a vigil and the rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, at the Catholic Church, First and Church streets in Baker City. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the Catholic Church. Friends are invited to join the family for a reception at the church after the Mass. At 1:45 p.m. those attending will travel from the church to Mount Hope Cemetery for committal and interment at 2 p.m.
Ted was born at Kremling, Colo., on March 20, 1932. He was raised in Colorado and met Virginia in September of 1948. They were married on July 15, 1950.
Later he moved his family to Wyoming in 1968 and then to Haines in 1975. Ted loved his family first, business, cattle ranching, and he was an avid sportsman.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, of 67 years; sons, Sam and Syd; daughters, Gena, Jan, Toni, and Lisa; and 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
