Mary Ann Darnell, 78, of Baker City died Jan. 24, 2018, at her residence at Beehive Homes.
Visitations will be Friday, Feb. 2, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Coles Tribute Center, 1950 Place St. There will not be a funeral.
Mary Ann was born on Sept. 19, 1939, to Carl and Frances (Hanna) Givens. She was born and raised in Baker City.
She married Billie J. Darnell on July 28, 1956, at Baker City. They were happily married for 35 years. Her main occupation was being a housewife and mother.
Mary Ann enjoyed yearly trips to Las Vegas with her friends, Jerry and Dick Herbes and son, Jim. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of Royal Neighbors.
Mary Ann is survived by her son James “Jim” Darnell of Baker City; her half-brother, Lonnie, and half-sister, Debbie, both of Springfield; her grandchildren, Randy Darnell of Boise, Jason Darnell of Baker City, Travis Darnell of Baker City, Amanda Darnell of Oregon, Jesse Bogart and his wife, Maelynn, of Oregon; and her good friend, Wynonna Bacus. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren: Kenrid, Louis, Dsean, Daneah, Daecee and Victoria; and two great-great-grandchildren, Danta and Lakeda.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Darnell; her son, Sonny Darnell; her infant son, Frank Rodney; her parents, Carl and Frances Givens; her grandparents; and her half-brother, Randy.
