Home delivery of today's issue of the Baker City Herald will be delayed until Thursday morning due to the closure of Interstate 84 between Pendleton and La Grande. The Herald is printed in Pendleton and then brought by truck, on the freeway, to Baker City. Although the freeway was beginning to reopen at 2:30 p.m., the papers aren't likely to reach Baker City until around 6 p.m., and for carriers' safety they won't be asked to deliver papers after dark in inclement weather.

Herald subscribers don't have to wait to get today's news, however. As subscriber you have full free access to our website content as well as the E-Edition, which includes pdfs of the entire newspaper. If you have any questions about getting online access call our office at 541-523-3673.
