A Utah man was hurt Monday when his ATV rolled off a steep embankment in southern Baker County.

A Utah man was hurt Monday afternoon when he lost control of his ATV while riding on a Forest Service road near Bridgeport in southern Baker County.

Robert Baker Jr., of Pleasant Grove, Utah, was riding on Forest Road 1118 when his ATV rolled about 30 feet down a steep embankment, according to the Baker County Sheriff's Office.

Baker County Dispatch received a report about the crash around 3:10 p.m. Monday. Due to difficult terrain, the Baker County Search and Rescue Team was activated to assist in the rescue. Baker transported on an ATV and rescue sled by Search and Rescue members to a site where he was taken by Life Flight helicopter to an out-of-area hospital, according to the Sheriff's Office.

Members from the Burnt River Quick Response Unit, Baker City Fire Department, Baker County Sheriff’s Office, and Life Flight were all involved.
