Charles Williams Sr., 65, of Elgin, died May 6, 2018 at his home.
A celebration of his life will take place in the summer, time and date to be announced.
Charles was born on May 17, 1952, at Aberdeen, Washington, to Fred and Bonnie Williams. He was raised all over, eventually graduating from Baker High School. Afterward, Charles did a short stint in the Army. He was a truck driver for 40 years and did many jobs.
On July 15, 2001, Charles married Candy Williams in La Grande. A favorite pastime they shared together was to sit at the table in the winter and watch the snow fall. He was a loyal fan of the football team the Oakland Raiders and he enjoyed stock car racing. Charles will be remembered for his love of motorcycles, music, family and his favorite Spanish word that those who knew him best would know.
Charles is survived by his wife of 17 years, Candy Williams; his sons: Charles L. Williams and his wife, Christine, and Zane Francke; his daughters, Rosemary Francke and her boyfriend, Jason Isaacson, and Vera Francke; 13 grandchildren; one great-grandson; and fur babies Molly and Buster.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
