Baker City, 1927-2018
Tommie Rose Dailey, 90, died June 5, 2018 at Settler’s Park Assisted Living Community in Baker City.
Her funeral will be at 1 p.m., Tuesday, June 12, at Gray’s West & Co. Pioneer Chapel, 1500 Dewey Ave. Pastor David Hoeffner of the Calvary Baptist Church will officiate. There will be a visitation for friends and family from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesday prior to the service.
Tommie was born on Dec. 28, 1927, at Cairo, Georgia, to Thomas and Rosella Rusk. She went to high school at Gordon Military School and graduated in 1946. Her occupations included ranching, saddlery, and being a homemaker.
Tommie enjoyed hiking, fishing, berry picking, sewing and crocheting. She loved animals and being outdoors. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Baker City. One of Tommie’s greatest accomplishments was being a college graduate.
Survivors include her son, Milburn Dailey Jr. of Keating; 12 grandchildren and more than 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Rosella Rusk; husband, Milburn Dailey Sr.; daughter, Tommie Rose (Dailey) Ashby; grandson, Jason Wolfkiel; and grandson, Elijah Rosin.
