Curtis McEwen, 56, of Baker City, died Jan. 23, 2019, at his home.
There will be no funeral.
Curtis Eugene was born on June 4, 1962, at Yreka, California, to Carroll and Cleowa McEwen. He attended school in Yreka where he later graduated.
Curtis continued to live in California and spent his time working as a parts salesman in the automotive industry.
In 2012, Curtis moved to Baker City and for a time worked at NAPA auto parts. Curtis loved fishing and playing with his dog, Buzz. Each morning he took joy in going for coffee with his friends and neighbors. It was a treasured ritual that he would not miss.
Curtis is survived by his mother, Cleowa McEwen; his brothers, David and his wife, Bow Lynne McEwen, and Steve and his wife, Vicky McEwen; his sister, Janice McEwen; his nieces and nephews, Brittany, Christopher, Harlee and Herman McEwen.
Curtis was preceded in death by his father, Carroll McEwen.
