Steven Lee Dalton, 60, of Boardman, and formerly of La Grande and Baker City, died on Aug. 4, 2019, at his home.
A celebration of his life will take place Sunday, Aug. 11 at 1 p.m. at Loveland Funeral Chapel, 1508 Fourth St. in La Grande. Casual dress is preferred by the family. A reception will be held at Riverside Park in La Grande after the service.
Steven was born on Oct. 3, 1958, at La Grande to James and Marguerite (Lambert) Dalton. Steven resided in Union and Baker counties. He attended La Grande and Baker high schools. He married Joanie Busey on Aug. 11, 2012.
S teven was employed with Miller Lumber & Truss. His passion was being a chef. He was a pastry chef and was trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Portland. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, photography, woodworking crafts and was a self-taught artist.
Steven is survived by his wife, Joanie; his parents, Bud and Sue Frashier; his brothers, Jack Dalton (Deana) of Grandview, Washington, Dean Lambert of Eugene, Tom Dalton (Albertina) of Hermiston, and Don Frashier (Kim) of Boise; his sisters, Karen Dalton-Smith (James) of Hermiston, and Tina Kassel, of Mesquite, Nevada; many aunts and uncles and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Dalton; his brothers, Donald Dalton and Joe Dalton; and his sister, Beverly Dalton.
