City should look to help, not punish, people

Wyn (Lohner, Baker City Police chief), really do not know how a discussion of weed abatement at nuisance properties turned into your devious plan to take over the town. The Baker City Herald article included a long list of all the other crimes that can play into having your property shuttered. Who do you think is really going to pay? Fees/fines for those on the edge of decency will include the amount charged for three violations, payment to board the house, and $100 more per day, per offense. And when you cruise around town, spotting properties, I wonder if you notice the majority of offenses take place in certain areas of town. Areas that could use some help.

People that could use some help.
